CTA Quincy Loop Station Upgrade Project
Start/Scheduled Date of Completion:
July 2016 - January 2019
SQN's Role on Project:
The CTA Quincy Station is an 'L' stop in the loop that serves the Brown, Orange, Pink and Purple lines. Originally opened in 1897, it is one of the oldest and best-preserved stations on the CTA system, and this project preserved the station's historic appearance while providing modern upgrades to provide better service to riders. The renovation included new elevators for both the Inner Loop and Outer Loop platforms, stairway replacement, painting, and lighting improvements, making the station fully accessible and ADA compliant.
