SQN provided construction inspection and project support services for the replacement of the Metra Fox River Bridge in Elgin. The project replaced the 137-year-old single-track bridge with a modernized structure designed to improve rail operations and accommodate more efficient traffic flow through the area. The phased project included construction of a new single-track bridge followed by expansion of the structure with additional steel beams and an expanded steel bridge deck.
