NICTD West Lake Corridor Construction Management & Project Administration Services

SQN provided construction management and project administrative services for the West Lake Corridor project, an approximately eight-mile, four-station extension of the NICTD South Shore Line between Dyer and Hammond, Indiana. Under the construction management contract, SQN managed project documentation in accordance with NICTD’s Document Management and Control Plan and provided compliance reporting. Under the project administrative services contract, SQN provided Quality Assurance Manager services on behalf of NICTD, including management of the Quality Assurance Program, quality plan reviews, consultant and contractor audits, and corrective and preventive action tracking. The project included 7.77 miles of new track construction, four new stations, elevated and at-grade rail infrastructure, traction power substations, overhead catenary systems, bridges, retaining walls, and associated improvements.
